Any one else having trouble with price hikes? I booked a room at extended stay 1st st. in Dec. for 155 a night. Called today to get extra night and they said my room was 214 a night even though I had a confirmation number. I told them they booked me at 155 a night in Dec. but they say prices are subject to change. WTF, I thought when you booked a room and they gave you a price and confirmation number that was your price , when did that change ? They gave me a customer resolution number to call, have to see what happens tommorrow. P.s. LSRU is a month away and no posts, usually there is a event stickey on this show, am I missing something ?
We stayed at Hutto last year and we saved a lot on the room, plus it was an easy drive to the event. Here I am on one of the Hutto Hippos. John
You seem right to me. Once you have a reservation and confirmation number, that kinda seems like a contract to me. Gotta say though, $214 is a bargain compared to GG in Scottsdale this month. The hotels are all wanting nearly $300 per night, even the GG Preferred list. I tried back in January to find something affordable and even called the place we stayed at Last November for GG Scottsdale for $270 for 2 nights, and they told me the rate was now $275 for each night! Scottsdale in March is off our list. Retired and fixed income can't take too many of those kind of prices. Hotels say the issue is that the MLB teams are in town for Spring training. GG may lose a lot of attendees if this continues - me for sure! Done with my rant now.
