Hi, I'm Roob. I am a diesel generator Tech. My first car was a 65 Buick Riviera which I sold in 2000 after my son was born. Since then I have been waiting until I was in the position to take on a project/own a cl***ic car. That being said my brother in-law hooked me up. He gave me a farm fresh 1950 dodge panel truck. The thing is covered in surface rust and stuck in the dirt, kind of looks like it got stuck in the mud there and was left. I joined the site on recommendations of my father who is a HAMB member. I am looking for help and ideas for when I get this project rolling. My biggest fear with the is that the frame is too far gone so, in time I might be looking for frame options and of course would like to know what was used by other members. I Hope the old 6 banger comes alive but, I think a nailhead would look great under the hood.
Welcome from So Cal....check out: http://p15-d24.com/ They live 30's-50's Mopar's....may find connections for parts/info.
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out Btw I'm from Nashville, TN Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Welcome... though not traditional hotrod friendly, a Dakota frame swap is very popular with these, due to it being abundant, cheap, reliable, easy to attain, and keeps it a dodge. Great choice if the old one is too far gone, which i doubt it is. Agreed, alot better than a Nailhead. So many better "Mopar" choices.
I am looking for a rear tailight complete with housing for a 1951 dodge panel ,if you can help me locate one ??
I am removing my frame in favour of a Dakota frame if you are in Manitoba you can have mine ,for a small donation to my current project.
Haven't seen or heard about how the build is going??? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
