  1. I'm guessing you decided not to drive it and see if it was fun with the 6 cylinder.

Heck yeah. I bought a 54 Savoy in Oct 2015. At first I wanted to keep it all mopar but came a cross a great deal on a Sbc 400 that is well built. Before I did the motor swap wanted to get it going on the 218 flat 6. I was able to run it for a while even took it to the Chrysler car show in Aug but decided I definitely wanted the bigger motor. This last fall bought a turbo 400 and thinking about going with a Ford 8.8. Just this last weekend we tore into and are hitting the ground running. Best of luck and keep us posted.

first car I bought in my entrance to the passion we call car building was a 53 Plymouth cranbrook. 4 door. went with my dad all the way to San Jose to get it... he wanted 800, I gave him 600. got it home put on new hoses, new plugs/wires, cap and rotor (tuneup shiat), blew out the fuel lines with carburetor cleaner and my compressor, dropped the tank, poured some Muriatic acid in it.. swooshed it around, slapped her back in, put new brake shoes, new cylinders, turned the key and wham!! she was a runner.. cant kill the flatties.. then I saved up some coin, biught a split manifold, 12" glass packs, pulled a few leaves out back, cut the fronts, and I had my first little put put!! and 100% to the above... sbc is the easy way out. Be original.
