I can't find my answer so I'm asking. There is a set of rear fenders for a 1947 pontiac for sale. I have a 1947 fleetline are the fenders the same? This stuff doesn't come up for sale very often any help would be great. Thanks
Getting the GM part number for the Fleetline fenders, then comparing that number to the Pontiac part number will give you the rock solid answer .... before you spend money. Your left rear fender is GM # 609657. Your right rear fender is GM # 609658. FYI, back then, the retail price was $14.22 for each fender. Now, to find the Pontiac part numbers.
You beat me looks like a no go. Well you just never know until you ask. And because of the time line anything is possible.
A 47 Pontiac has several [I believe it's 4] character lines that look like squared off beads stamped into their fenders from '41 to '47 while chevy fenders are smooth. It's quite possible a Pontiac fastback fender would bolt up but it'd have to be a series 25 [chevy body] Pontiac. And it wouoldn't match the other 3 fenders in appearance. fahgetaboudit.
