CU6210 indicates that it came from a 1934 Chrysler Airflow model CU. First year for the Airflow, a rare motor. This is consistent with the manual trans and other features. Pretty rare motor, I don't know the value but should be desirable to an Airflow restorer.

  4. According to my books, that is a 1934 Chrysler engine. Those numbers went from CU1001 and went up from there. Rusty & I were typing at the same time....yes....Airflow.

  5. The cylinder head may be from a different car as most of the Airflow heads had the side water intake. This particular one has a plate where the intake MAY have been and moved to the side.... 1934 CHRYSLER Airflow.jpg

The fan bolts to the damper on the crankshaft. The straight eight in an Airflow is different than a regular Chrysler eight. Water pump is different, head is different.

CU is a 34 airflow. 298 cu in 5.2 To 1 CR. 3 3/8 bore, 4 1/2 stroke 122 HP @ 3400 rpm. Just over 8300 built. These were heavy probably over 800 lbs not including clutch and trans. Crank a bit whippy probably be OK kept under 3000 rpm.

My '39 Imperial motor has the same casting number, 622629-1,on the side of the block. It is the same bore, but with a 5 inch stroke for 324 cu in displacement. The head is also different.

I have definitely decided to go a different way with my 4x4 project. My rebuilt motor is also for sale.

I know this is a old post but I’m looking for some parts from this engine if you want to sell it and still have it. Thanks
