  2. Thank you so much! Yeah it's pretty rare for the younger generation to be into this, just a little too expensive for most unfortunately. I'm just fortunate enough to have my dad be able to teach me everything and help me out!

  3. That's awesome, sounds like it's going to be a cool build. Haha very true, my Fenton intake was my 18th birthday present!

  4. Had a good friend of ours, Josh Shaw, number and stripe the wheels on my coupe. Very stoked on how it came out!

I was thinking of doing a snap on top like that for my pickup, and ended up making a removable insert that's worked out really well and I['m pretty happy with.

The top is very stable, no movement at speed, though I can't see if the material is billowing or not. It takes about 2 minutes to remove or install it. Having the top open for moonlit evening drives on a summer night is really nice. On the other hand, it's nice to have it closed up when it's either really hot out or when the temps drop.

I'm sure you and your dad could do a much better job than I did with it. Just something to get the creative juices flowing.

Maybe I missed it but those hubcaps or bolt on covers or what. The little bit of silver on them looks good.

Congrats on the great showing this weekend in Detroit Nathan! I have been following this thread with great interest since the beginning, just never commented but really felt compelled to after looking your coupe over on Friday. Your Dad is to be commended as well. His expert tutelage really shows through on this awesome build. Being an A coupe guy at heart, it was definitely one of my favorites.

Thanks a lot ! We've had a great time this weekend, and made some new friends. Nathan hasn't stopped answering questions all weekend.

Well, we had a great time at the Detroit Autorama. We parked with dear friends from other states, and got caught up with them. We also made a lot of new friends, several being HAMBers who we had never met in person before, and we met them because of this build thread. I think that was Nathan's favorite part of the weekend.
Nathan and his coupe were invited to come to the Iron Invasion, to park in the HopUp building, and also invited to the Eyes On Design Show ,at the Edsel Ford estate. That one is a concourse show along the lines of Pebble Beach. It's invitation only, and they are inviting about 12-15 traditional hot rods to be on display. It'll be really interesting to see tattooed, long haired Nathan and the other T-shirt clad hot rodders mingling with the Grey Poupon crowd .
Also, HopUp magazine is going to shoot Nathan's coupe for a feature. All in all, a great weekend.

I'm sure Nathan has some better pictures, and is smart enough to turn them the right direction. Apparently I am not.
