Hey Ryan, I have been thinking about how cool a hamb calendar could be. I'm tried of the lame *** snap on ones and the **** cars I see in the ones and any store. The Mac and snap on ones were cool when they had them hot half naked chicks but now everyone is so politically correct they don't even do them anymore. I use to love to go to my dad's friends shop and I don't know why but I always had to pee....close the door and HELLO.... Anyways I would love to see the kind of cars we all dig and love to build instead of lame street/muscle cars that are just way over the top gross. I think it would be cool to do a contest of sort where anyone that wanted to play could donate like 5 bucks and a picture of their hamb friendly car and the money would help get the start of the calendar going then we could all help out again and buy the full calendar. Post the pictures and vote on the Raddest cars to fill up the calendar. I would live to flip over to the next car that would keep me going on my own projects. Maybe I'm just thinking out loud but I would buy a few for me and my friends. What does everyone think. Also I looked and didn't see that there is already one so if there is ease let me know so I can get one. Here's a few cars I would love to look at each month. Something like all the pictures and kustoms to or maybe one of each so it brings in more money for the hamb. Happy New Years y'all
See just like this picture everyday for a month I could look up at it and ask what do you think Lou. All thumbs up.
Yeah! I've missed it the past couple of years. It used to push me into taking shots good enough to contribute and the threads were great. Ryan, Django. I understand the logistics behond producing it but....... Please. Pretty please. With a cherry on top.
I offered to do one last month, must not have been any interest, nobody ever said anything else about it.
Ryan has had a lot on his plate this year what with Family and a surgery recently. I am not surprised that he didn't have time for one this year. Of course there is always the beautiful Rodders Journal calendar and I believe it's on sale right now. KK
The question was brought up I think in the Questions and Suggestions section and Ryan indicated that it wasn't going to happen this year. The lad has just had far too much going on this year.
Who needs a HAMB calendar when you can get one from the International Edsel Club? If I had to pick a favorite I would probably go with February....
Last year I bought one of the HAMB "1932/2016" pinup calendars with monthly tear-off pages. Checked with Ryan some time ago and he said he wouldn't be doing one this year. So I went on eBay and bought a set of 2017 tear-off pages and stapled them to the background sheet. I think I originally paid $10 for the calendar I bought last year, but Ryan has the old version on sale for $5 right now in the store. And I think I only paid $3-$5 for the new pages. See the pic attached ... it works for me.
There's a really cool calendar of old cars/junk yard paintings by Dale Klee every year. (http://daleklee.com/). Hemming's usually carries it, or, if you are lucky, your local NAPA has it,too. Getting harder to find but so far, it's still around. This year's was particularly nice.
This is the best style EVER!!! You should have Jeff draw one up ASAP! I'll buy 2 and I'm sure they will still sell fast! (Never too late!) Joe p.s. I'm always looking in the store with hopes of seeing them for sale!
Man I wish I had a calendar like that like last year kind. But any who. That would be *****en to come up with a calendar with some info of the vehicle on the calendar. That is mentioned. I will be on the look out for ideas Sent from my Z981 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Hello, With all of the creative minds and builders here, it is sad to see this calendar thing not being used. If the HAMB is not making one this year, why not make your own? Years ago, I made one from a flip calendar I bought at a stationery store and printed out my own collection of photos for the backsides. It had the sole purpose of being calming when viewed. It was mostly serene surfing related (waves) photos. Again, my own photos, printed out in 8x10 size, glued to the backside of each calendar page with glue that would not bleed through to the front numbers side. Like the ever popular art books with a myriad of blank designs inside, (that give people relief of stress with the ability to color the designs) making your own calendar does make you feel good. These wide calendar borders are perfect for doodling or making quick notes. Sticky notes are perfect here, if not in the mood to draw or write in something. Back in the 60’s a Peter Max doodle calendar was perfect to walk up and color in a small section for instant satisfaction… It did not take long to make the complete photo calendar. Today, you only need 10 photos since it is March. If you don’t have your own photos for printing, there are plenty of sites that allow you to legally download photos. Jnaki Cars? Ask a fellow HAMB member for permission to reprint a photo of your favorite car or photo. Now, you have the right to make it on your own calendar. Not that you are going to make a zillion calendars for sale, but it just gives the owner of the photo, credit for his work. Like a collage of photos per month or just an era? (A page of Willys g***ers, one of 32 3 window cars, old vintage Model A sedans, or a day at the GNRS, etc.) Here is one: HAMB member owned, favorite cars of your own choice…Gee, that is an original design… Until Ryan makes the ones he has created, do your own. It is/was a fun personal project.
