    Progress

Cut the toeboard from 16 gauge, drilled and tapped the sub floors.

Next is a go go pedal. I have a nice '32 V8 one I've been saving for this ole gal.

Pete, without me reading the whole thread for the umpteenth time, do you have any plans for the cut frame horn ends? Like maybe this Nerf bar on Bruce Larson's high school hot rod?

IMG_5380.JPG IMG_5382.JPG IMG_5381.JPG IMG_5383.JPG Snuck in the garage for some therapy today.

Tackled the gas pedal. Put up a little fight but I won. I had to cut into the spine of the firewall to get the correct height. Also had to extend the actual arm to reach the carbs on the PM7.

If detail's are important here's why the throttle shaft didn't sit right. [IMG] [IMG]

Yup. The firewalls been slightly chanelled to fit the chanelled body so it didn't fit in the original location.

The plan is to cut a small piece of tube in half and mold in that slot.

I wouldn't have known about the bead feather to nothing except that I'm on the last bit of grinding and hammering smooth a 32 firewall that was flattened then returned back forward then cut for major set back. Just a mess it was but it's all back together now.

^^^^^ I'll see about getting a current photo from my dumb phone transferred so I can do a copy and paste of it. For now here's a photo before I got my hands on the project. You can see the bright bare metal where the firewall was pulled forward then welded. Only one problem, the cross dimensions where not taken into account so it spread the lower body panel out and mounting bolts holes didn't line up with the frame either. So I had to split those welds and in some area's welding in filler strips. Luckily the section cut out was still with the truck but because of all the bad work before it didn't fit either. Question Pete. The way your doing your floor to firewall it seems that the firewall will no longer be removable. Is this correct ?

Nope. The flat stock that got welded to the firewall is only welded to the firewall, the floor pan gets screwed to that and the floor.
I've had the firewall in and out a few times already

Thanks Pete. Trying to decide how to have a steel trans tunnel that runs almost to the seat base and wooded kick and floor boards. Was thinking of making tunnel integral to the firewall and mechanically attach to stock floor cross member.

    Small update.

Decided to use my military seats, they're actually pretty comfy. I'll have some dense cushions made with some type of vintage cloth,,,, I'll be sure to get some of queen Elizabeth's material just to satisfy the HAMB ultra traditional police .... lol

Fitting lower deck lid panel and braces.
I'll have to make a dropped floor in the rear to accommodate the channel. It'll be like a small tool compartment.

Pete, Those seats are the Cat's meow ! All the W.W. 2 Jeeps used a real heavy olive drab canvas on their seats. There is a military surplus store on 125 going toward N.E. Dragway that might have that material. Keep up the great work, Tommy.

I got those seats from a junk yard in Hudson m*** roughly 17 years ago. The yard had 7 military trucks, all had those seats.... so of course I bought them all and these are the last two.
