After not talking to a friend in about 4 months, the Lord laid it upon my heart to call my friend Dana, So here is the deal my friend Dana, who's husband is in the Marine corps and spending the next 8 months in Africa decided to move with her two small children Dylan 3 and Trent under a year to Sacramento to be close to family. On Saturday after spending the day packing a 26ft rental truck they set out. Upon stopping in Yorba Linda at the Target they came out to watch the truck explode into flames. Everything they own is gone pictures, baby stuff, Toys, documents etc. She is staying with her dad waiting to figure out what is going on with the insurance that she OK'd for the truck, but then was told that it was for the truck only and not the contents. Turns out the BBQ which was packed in the truck had a propane tank that either leaked and or the nozzle broke and that's what started the fire.. If you can help at all I would really appreciate it at this point toys, cash etc. She also asked for clothes for Dylan who is 3 years old and in a size 4 or 5. if anything please pray for her and her small young family as they decide what they are going to do. I am the real Deal, many of you know that I ran a donation drive after Katrina to help those people and the HAMB raised $1500 dollars.. Again I will put my paypal account and if you need my adress I will send it to you on a PM. Kind Regards, Bigdaddy aka John Paypal = Brockjrb@aol.com
I'll have to look at what I have left in baby and toddler clothes. Maybe some toys. Depending on the Mom's size, probably have something for her too. Some of this stuff is from my own family, and the rest comes from cars I buy from the impound. All clothing is checked over and washed. I just cant throw it away. Somebody needs it. That might seem nasty to some, but if you dont have anything, its better than nothing.. Might have blankets and sleeping bags, too.
We have some baby clothes and toys that my boys have out grown. We will be going through Sac next sunday. We might have some household stuff too.
this needs a pin... you might try contacting their local newspaper in the area... my city has a fund for this type of happenings, and the article might bring some offers of assistance otherwise unknown. keith
Hi Get her to the American Legion or VFW right away. The American Legion has a fund called a TFI from national along with the local post. Both organizations will help. Also take her to the County Courthouse and apply for Soldier Sailor Relief fund. Between the three of them that should get her at least back on her feet until something else can be done. Gumpa
