Two truck loads and a full trailer full later, and I still need the few parts I needed before I when to look. On the bright side My friend Bob and I have more stuff to divvy up !! PS. You made me look! Your thread is the sad story of your major relapse of the dreaded Deuce Disease that many of us suffer from. Enjoy the high while you can with your new found goodies because in a few weeks it will wear off and you again feel the pangs of needing more Deuce stuff. You will again be driven to early morning searches of swap meets, late night internet sessions and long drives to run down fruitless leads. The cycle never ends for those of us so afflicted. Maybe the Betty Ford Clinic could help us...............
Sad but true there really is a Deuce Disease and it gets worse as you get older and once you contract it you are hooked for life. There is no known cure, except for the inevitable. HRP
I just attended our Deuce version of AA on Saturday at the Lake Havasu Deuce Day......over two hundred of Henry's finest in one place........it was heaven! Except now I have to come down from that glorious high of Deuce stimulation...........
So I live in Alaska I'm 64 and have collected 32 fords since I was 14 and still don't have what I want! My wife went to lake Havasu last month and told me about the cars there then I saw an ad for the 32 deuce run. I've told her for 40 years I won't leave Alaska, know I ask you all have you ever had your wife use your addiction to help you make a decision ? Just in case you haven't guessed I'm blessed with a good wife and an awesome addiction. To answer your question if you don't find what you want, you could do like me, just work on your 34 ford roadster! What makes me sick is remembering the ones I could have bought and didn't. The one that really hurts was when I didn't buy an original Model B Woody for $28000 right in Sioux Falls that was owned by the former Mayor, Rick Knobe.
Never had the "Duece Disease", or even "Tri-Five Fever". I am however, afflicted with a bad case of "36 3-Window-itis", accompanied with by "Acute Shoebox Syndrome".
One of the symptoms of the disease is learning the correct spelling of the word "Deuce" Until I was inflicted with the disease I spelled it just like you!
