what does it take to make a 38 deluxe into a 38 standard. the hood looks different what else do I need and is it a bolt on
I also prefer the '38 standard... hood tops ?... but hood sides [they also make up the top half of the grill] are different... memory says the grills look the same but have different detents for the stainless trim. and that the fenders and headlights do interchange... back page of - **** spadaro's "early ford parts" has all the ford noses...
38 Standard is based on the 37. Front grill, Hood , side panels are different to the deluxe. You may have to do some metal m***aging to get the hood to fit the 38 Deluxe firewall. May also pay to use 37/38 standard front fenders to help align the side panels, grill and hood.
