Back then the Long Beach Fwy was the "15" when it was just a state highway. It was then changed to the "7" in the early 60's. I think it was then changed to "710" in the 80's when it became an "interstate".

Do you mean yours has no fender emblems? Does yours have a 6 cylinder? 55's had the I6 in a circle for all models having it and I'm not sure on the 56'. I am positive on the 55' V8 emblem when used on the 56' indicated a 272" or possibly the 292 with a 2 barrel. The red Thunderbird emblem was the same for the 292 or 312 with a 4 barrel carb.

 

56's with the 6 cylinder engine did NOT have a fender emblem. I know, I had one way back when.

It is indeed.

 

Yeah, it very well could be but I don't know for sure. The MG's were pretty popular at the Carrell foreign car races back then.
