I dont care much for a lot of Bailon's work, But Joe's "Widow" is probably one of the best customs ever done
Joe Manieri was one of the finest cutomizers in the East back about 10-20 years ago. Built some FINE machines, the "Angel Eyes" 51 Merc, Joel Sheippe's peach pearl 52 Olds, and others. Built cars all by himself in PA. I think the stress of building high quality cars got to him. He's semi-retired, just delivering paint for an auto body store. He still does work on friends cars, sometimes, but has not taken on any projects in a long time. What a shame! I know someone who still sees him al the time. Not sure if I should say, though, seems he wants privacy.
Maneri also didi the redo of Ernie Roths 51 merc, built Ron Houses 50 Merc,a chopped 40 merc convert,JIm Ferraras 50 Merc and Frank Loscalzos chopped49 merc as well as Ralph Cerrones chopped 51.
