I just learned that the Chicago World of Wheels wants the Lil' Tantrum front and center at the show in March. The Chicago Brushmasters will be lettering the car at the show. All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House

 

Man, that's a really sharp '55 you've saved/rebuilt there Bob. I really like the rear radius treatment. And of course the screamin' smallblock/4gear deal. Hope to see a vid of a full blown 'money' p*** when you get it sorted out. Congrats on the Chicago deal, pics when it happens please.

Lil' Tantrum is all back together. The timing cover spacer that my brother and his pals at Fox Valley Tech made worked out great.

All new valves, cleaned up a bit of damage to the pistons tops, new gaskets, etc. We inspected the bottom end and all was good. Obviously the removal and installation was a big job. Only way to get the intake off was to remove the blower and that couldn't come off until the Magneto was removed. Due to the engine set-back, the Mag was beneath the cowl. So...the entire engine had to be pulled.

I am going to remove the One Shot that Tom painted on in preparation for lettering and striping by the Chicago Brushmasters. They will be add quite a bit and it will become a work of art.

 

The Chicago Brushmasters did another fantastic job for me! Bob Behounek created the design and the rest of the gang added their artistic creativity. It is an honor to have the GREATS letter and stripe my cars. Alan Johnson travelled all the way from New Jersey. Another artist came from Scotland!

 

They helped me correctly pay tribute to one of the greatest ProStock drag cars of all time.

 

The artists donate their talent, time and effort. All proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House. I win in many ways!

Just read through Arnie's thread and now this one. Cool story behind this car. I'm curious what has happened with lil'tantrum since 2017?
