I noticed no one answered any of the questions regarding the youtube and how it works......

It just streams into your cache, and then will eventually get written over after other stuff fills up your cache.....

A cache is a dedicated part of your hard drive just for viewing videos..... You do clean out your cache at least once a week, right? This is also where bugs like to hide sometimes....

You can also stop a video once it starts by clicking on the small pause icon in the bottom left corner of the video....

If you want to save the video to your hard drive, just double click on the video and it will open in a new window where there are options to download it....

This is gonna be a riot... I actually yelled out loud when that huffer took to flight......

    Bad ***! Thanks Ryan!!

  9. Holy ****! No one was decapitated? Care to indulge us with some details?

I think this is a great addition but like amphetamines it has great potential for abuse.

  10. Here is a tip for all the aspiring James Wong Howes out there:

Use a tripod. If you can't or won't get one DO NOT zoom in tight on anything!!! The slightest movement of the camera is greatly magnified when you shorten up. It makes your stuff look worse than the stuff your parents shot in super 8 when you were a kid.
You've been spoiled by "Steadi-Cam" and gyroscopic camera mount work of the last 25 years.
Also by the emergence of the detestable "shaky-cam" work of the last 10 years.

    Godamnit!:)

I don't really know. I just did a search on Youtube for Hot rod. All it said was that the guy wasn't hurt.

  16. Man this will be great! It could make tech week a whole lot cooler.

Geesh, it's not like I didn't already spend to much time on the HAMB.

  17. I liked it. Great sound track other than a little wind noise on the mic. Lonely freight train horn and solid thunk of the door closing. The quick fire of the ignition, the lovely exhaust note.
So far so good, the acting good, direction excellent, camera work impressive especially the wide angle selection. The script is tight and the plot moves right along when suddently the story takes an unexpected turn. As Mr. Hot Rod (the character's name is never revealed ) smoothly launches his craft off screen he and it suddenly appear to dive into a black hole at the frame edge! If that isn't wild enough he just a quickly reappears as smoothly and mysteriously as he left. Wow! Where did they go? What does it mean? I found myself asking "What the Sam Hill is this about?" and simultaneously not caring.
That's how good this movie is. Not surprisingly from a director with this much talent he has left the ending open for a sequel. I will be camping out on the sidewalk in front of the box office for tickets to the premiere a week ahead of time soiling myself.
No word yet when we will see the next one.

That's a video from 1954 of everyday life at the time.

It's EXACTLY what the fifties were like.
