I ordered a finned aluminum dash insert from Early Ford. Got nothing of a confirmation nor charge on my card for a little over 2 months, so long I'd forgotten about the order and bought a dash from somewhere else.
When it shipped they said just send it back for a refund. They've now had the dash back for 2 weeks, I've called 3 times and they were going to process the refund right away... still nothing.

Looks like everyone else has been happy, but man they've been SLLLLOOOOOOOWWWW for me!

  2. call up your credit card co. and cancel the order.

    ^^^ x2

The dreaded chargeback does have teeth.

I would call them and tell them they have 24 hours to process the refund or you will be contacting your credit card company to initiate a chargeback. Each chargeback against a co IS a big deal and if enough, impacts their CC rates.

    Funny!
I had to do the same thing with a vendor. He got charged back and the problem was taken care of.

As far as I'm concerned that place is a joke. Paid big bucks for a rebuilt 39 tranny that jumped out of second gear after a week. Didn't learn my lesson and paid too much for a 40 ford wheel. Asked them over the phone for a straight one as I already had a very wobbly one. The one they sent me was worse, like an inch of runout. I won't do business with those crooks ever again.

I'm in Australia and buy a lot from them. Good prices, fast shipping and good quality.

  11. Since a beef with a vendor is being aired in a public forum, let's make sure which "Early Ford" you're talking about. I'd hate for a good vendor to get a bad name. I'm guessing you're not talking about the one in San Dimas that Jalopy Joker posted a pic of. They've always been straight up with me. Good people.

Yes, San Dimas. I'm good with them now, but I'll probably not return my business to there. 3 month circle for a dash plate.

  13. Hmmm, sorry to hear that but glad you guys are square now.

I also have had issues with them. They will not email me back or call me on a part I was looking at needless to say I took my business elsewhere.
