I decided to crawl under the sedan last night while trouble shooting the brakes and as I was dragging the floor jack across the shop it occurred to me, I didn't need it,there is enough room to work without a jack and jack stands, even for a old fart like me.

With my old full fender beater I have to take the pad off the jack to get it under the axle. HRP

Yeah, after carefully leaning over the 46's fat fenders messing with my model A project felt like working on the motor on a motor stand

Had full fendered 32 and 32 hi boy. No comparison working under hi boy, you don't even have to jack it up.

I am looking at the 47 jailbar, still soaking the cylinders and is locked up. But looking at the dizzy and the radiator and how far away it is from the top of the fenders.
Looks like will have to stand on my head to check for spark!

I hear that. After working on muscle cars though my teens and twenties, where putting a motor and trans combo in was a 3 man job, these things are a breeze. I do 90% by myself. Including jabbing the motor in and out multiple times.

I remember working on the interior of my sedan before I put the fenders and running boards on. I would always raise up early, not realizing I wasn't back far enough.

I found myself hitting my head on the top of the door opening with that little ****on on the top of my cap. YOUCH! I saw stars more than once!

I just installed a front panhard bar in non fendered 34 coupe.....only had to get under it to weld the bracket to the bottom of the frame...rest was done on my knees on a hunk of carpet.

I'm in the middle of restoring a 69 Camaro myself but the next project is a 30/31 high boy roadster. After all the time under the Camaro dash and dealing with heater Controls, fenders not to mention it's an RS with the hide away head stuff. I can't wait to start building the roadster.
