Hudson, I wanted one of these also, hard to find. There was a shell on ebay awhile back but he wanted 15K, thi sone is much nicer
My buddies blown 30 coupe (excuse me for my bird in the photo) He has 2 of them now, one is completely original. That isn't us in the photo either
Thanks for posting that one. Those disc wheels are really interesting. It will be easy to identify that one if it pops up again. It's also a bit unusual to see one without side mount spares. I like it! It makes the hood look really long.
That explains why the hood looks so long. That's a special car. I recall when that blue one for for sale around the Chicago area a couple years ago. It looked to be a bargain at around $35k. I heard they wanted 60 for the V-12.
Found this on eBay several years ago: '31 Graham. Per the listing, it was a CA car, last licensed in '48, and was rigged to carry moonshine!

That must be somebody's home made replica. Here's what a real Auburn Speedster looks like. It's not a coupe, and neither is this, but at least it has a roof.
That is the '29 Auburn Cabin Speedster- there is a replica at the ACD museum (at least there was when I visited last).
Ok one more Franklin. I had The Moose colorize this as a design study on the one that I was looking at a few years back. I do love the big full bodied coupes. Someday when the right one comes along at the right price I will be ready.
Damn I had one just like that back in the early 50s. If you look under the oak tree that be it. That car was a beast. Heavy real steel, free wheeling w3 piece windshield with no divider strip & teak garnish. It was called an aero coupe & designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
When I worked at Harrah's Automobile Collection I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Whittell. The last car we purchased from him was the long wheel base boat tail roadster. He was the honorary fire chief up on Lake Tahoe and this car sported his red emergency light and a plate "Honorary Fire Chief." Harrah's also purchased the 31 foot stainless turret Hackercraft From George. It was intended to be used at Mr. Harrah's home on Lake Tahoe at Zephyr Cove. It had 2 huge Hall Scott inline motors and it proved to be quite sluggish. We hauled the boat down to the collection and installed 2 Allison V-12's. That proved to be a perfect modification as the old Hacker got right up and scooted along with the repower. His home and grounds were beyond belief. There was a boat house down on the lake and a tunnel up to the house. It was said that was for the bootleggers. That is where the Hacker was stored. It was suggested that he had the largest collection of African beasts in the world not sure if that was true or not, but the had free rain to run around the grounds. He often visited the collection just to look at his cars. In all I think we purchased 3. The LWB boat tail was totally original and unmolested and part of the deal was that we had to keep it that way. just sayin' brasscarguy
