Hot Rods When do the current round of Texas antique plates expire?

    I'm back in the US and I'm pulling my Ford out of storage after 4 years. It seems like the plates expire this year, but I don't know when. Thanks all.

    Five years from the day they are issued. Should have a sticker on the plate.

    Sorry, I meant Year of Manufacture plates, they don't have a sticker, and my understanding was that everyone's YOM plates expired at the same time. I could be wrong.

    YOM plates are also five years from the time they are issued to your vehicle. The DMV gave me a small metal tag for my small expiration decal. It attaches to the metal tin and mounted behind the plate thru plate screw and sticks up enough to read the expiration.

    mine are 2018 for the antique plates I run....was pretty sure the YOM - year of make - plates - had to be renewed each year....correct me if I'm wrong......
