Technical Steering box identification

    Does anyone know what this steering box came out of ? . Its a 3 turn total , 1 1/2 each way. It is a gemmer

    I see some cast numbers on the housing, have you tried Googling them.
    It is amazing what can turn up at time doing that.
    Or just post the numbers and somebody may be jolted into remembering more info...

    Judging from the pitman arm it could be a mid '30's Chev steering box. It looks
    a lot like the one that came out of a
    '37 Chev. that I parted out years ago.
    I think that's the only thing that's left
    from that old Chev.
