Is it safe to remove the body of a GM A body with the floor pans cut out? It is a 1964 cutl*** 2 door post car by the way

ONLY if the rockers and where they attach to the cowl are solid.

I don't think it's safe to pull any body off the frame with the floor pans cut out. The body is effectively a big box. How sturdy is that box once you cut the bottom out of it? Especially since the top is only held on with the A, (sometimes) B, and C pillars.

Maybe you could weld in some temperorary cross braces if you need to get it lifted soon?

Either put the new floors in it, or put in some cross braces, otherwise the body will fold toward the center. You need a good trunk floor too.

I forgot to mention the floor pan braces are still in the car if it makes a difference?
