1952-59 Ford Some progress on my 53 Vicky

Hello fellas it's been a while since I posted any updates on my car.
I had to pull the motor and ****** to get them rebuilt so I decided to pull the front end apart to do some rust repairs on the inner fenders. I had my fair share of seized nuts and bolts so getting everything apart was a lot more work then I expected. Once I got it apart I had them sand blasted. Then I began cleaning up and repairing the rusted areas ( I was lucky enough to find some donor inner fenders on Craigslist) , patching up the fire wall ( previous owner drilling a bunch of extra holes) and repairing a hole they also cut on the cross member. I am just about done and getting ready for paint

My welding skills are rusty and my experience is with shielded arc and gas welding. I also braze and silver solder fairly well.

 

I am welding all the time. I've been in the oil fields a about 10 years and now I work in maintenance at a water treatment facility so I get to do a lot of carbon steel aluminum and stainless work

 

Finished up the last little repair on the front end. Cut out the bad part of the rust on the battery box and narrowed it down to fit my battery
