well, sounds like you dont spend much time up here. all mexican food up here is cut with rice and beans. A carne asada burrito will be 55% rice 25% beans, 5% gespacho, and 15% carne asada. drives me nuts. Santana's back home, California Burrito: 75% Carne Asada, 15% fries, 10% everything else.
We do have one of the 'bertos up here: Adalbertos, only place i can get my soCal mexican fix i will see what i can arrange as to wine (but i was feeling this was more of a beer thing)...but i did come across a really good bottle of Robert Hall '03 Paso cab BIG flavor almost jammy, as it is so voluptuous and well bodied, and just a smidge on the ****y side for a finish. it is not going to age well as the tannins and the acid are rather light, but it is ready to roll now.
oh, by the way...if you can find it Wm. Harrision makes some incredible cabs (as in bang for the buck) Estate grown Rutherford Red (Cab, Merlot, Franc blend) is killer at about 25.00 a bottle. of thier recent releases, the '01 (which will be a vintage year) is awesome, and the '02 is pretty damn good. (havent tried the '03 yet)
Actually, it is more of a beer gig. But I'm a wino. (No, that's NOT my placa on the overp***). Beer is good. My friend who will be there might bring some home brew. I'm going to go look for the Rob't Hall. He used to be a tailor in LA, I think.
Spend much time up were??? Born and raised in Nor Cal (San Fran.) Just moved down to So Cal about 2 yrs now. Pancho Villas on 16th St. Near Valancia St. in the mission. GOOD STUFF.
i really liked it (12 - 15 a bottle)...and i think i would get shot for bringing a set of rydels to the hamb picnic... hmmm...sierra nevada and horse shoes...
Are you kiddin'? Googaz is a card carrying tofu eating vegitarian. Tye dye shirts, Greatful Dead tape trader and all. Right, Googaz?
Hey! Is Gilday springing for name tags again? Haven't heard from him yet. I hope Travis and he will race on down.

You can add me to the list. Grant Aka Superfan99 I'll bring some short ribs & some carne asada for the grill.
Thanks for the e-mail Danté. Again, for the second time in a row, I'm going to miss it. I'll be in Visalia wrenching on a friend's 64 Chevy. Last time I was at one of your gigs, you hadn't even worked on my car yet. I'm long over due for another and will definately be there in the future. Thanks again for the invite; have fun you guys.
Soyrizo kicks ***. The "HAMB Soyrizo-Q" ... even has a nice ring to it. Dan: Big thanks for the name tag!
