Could anyone tell me how to get my Buick to set flat on the ground? I've seen some other early sixties rides doing it but I think they might have been Chebys. I don't think they make dropped spindles and really do not see how that would work. I have a front cross member that in the way............ Any thoughts?
write a bigger check to the shop that installed tha airbags in the first place, or find a better shop.
youll have to section the x member...and if that wont be strong enough youll have to move it up or Z the front clip. then if your rockers dont quite meet flush with your frame (this is the case with my car, the frame is about an inch below the rockers...makes me sad). also you have tall wide whites...you might consider getting some thin white 175/70's if you have 14's. then if you still dont lay out youll need to reconfigure your air bag brackets to allow more travel. but the bottom line is some cars dont lay out unless you channel them.
smaller tires, clearance anything that might be hanging up (ie tierods, sway bar links etc) take out the bump stops if you havent already.... tubular control arms maybe. pics would help
Lets clarify some shit. I payed a buddy to do it at his shop and I helped with slave labor and learned how to do it. Now, would anyone else like to share some more shit that why know nothing about?
Whats wrong with paying someone else to do it rather then fuck it up yourself...... not that Ive ever done that.
