Just retired from the Army last year. Finally getting time do some of the stuff I never had time to do. Found you all through a friend. Think this site is awesome. I figured I'd post my car. The first pic is the day I got her. She spent the last 30 years in the barn in the background (second picture). 265 two speed powerglide (still leaks a lot). Got her back in good running order (ish) with the help of my friends. Thanks again.
Welcome from Colorado. Nice 55, it wouldn't be a proper cast iron powerglide if it didn't mark its territory.
Thanks. She definitely does that. I call it style. My soon to be wife calls it destroying the driveway... I figure it just makes it better.
Thank-You for your service - looks like good little cruiser ride - good have friends that help you out
Thanks gents I greatly appreciate it. But if you get a chance thank a Vietnam Veteran the next time you see one. They are the reason my self and my peers are getting the recognition and help all service members diserve. Me on my last time in Iraq
Gents thanks again. This crew is outstanding. Hard to find Pepe who like the old stuff (best stuff) so many awesome rides here. And great tec knowledge.

OIF09-10 Welcome to the board. THANK YOU for your service. My step son was over there to and has a hard time dealing with things when he came back, some times so I got him in to cars and body work. It has helped him a lot. I am sure a lot of guys have seen this picture but this is him after his 1st paint job{painting the spoiler for my Oldsmobile station wagon} You can get a lot of help on here ask me how I know. LOL. You know what they say. If it doesn't leak, drip, or smoke it aint a hot rod. LOL. Bruce.
Welcome and congratulations on your retirement. As others have said thanks for your service. Enjoy your new ride. Sent from my SM-G935R4 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My brother put in his 20 in the Army, he got out in 2003. My dad was a WWII and Korea vet. I was too banged up and they wouldn't take me back in 1972. But Vets are always welcome here! Nice looking '55, you're off to a good start.
