Running short water pump, with driver side alternator. Looking for a cast iron Corvette/pickup style lower bracket and upper brace. Want to keep factory look...no billet mounts...if possible.
Will not have power steering or AC.
Will appreciate help with part numbers or sources.
    Thanks!

You mean like this? I just took this picture to a bone-yard and showed them what I wanted and they fixed me up.

You guys must have better yards out where you are. Here, it is late-model, or it is gone.

Yes sir, that is exactly what I need!
Can anyone help narrow down the application that mount and arm came from?
    Thanks to all.

You can also check into Alan Grove brackets. They are steel, they move the alt. up on top instead of hanging off the side. Just a thought.

Agreed^^ I gave up on the yards around here years ago. If they did have early SBC stuff it was roped off and off limits to visitors. Everything went to one guy with an inside deal with the yard owner.

    Header mount bracket might work.

This type will work, less the bracket with the slots, with a cast iron manifold.

The one you want was used on Vettes and trucks, starting in the late 60s.

Trucks used it from 69-72 on the 307 and 350. Vettes from 72-82, from what I can tell.

It bolts to the end of the head, so it won't work on most 1968 or earlier heads

I want to say these brackets came from a '70-'72 Chevy C-10, '73-'81 C-3 Corvette, if I remember correctly.

Did you find a bracket? I have one I pulled from a mid-70's Corvette sitting on my desk in my shop that I don't need. I can post a picture tonight if you are interested.
