I know this thread is a year old, but just came across it... Good article. I didn't know the Emory family had carried on so extensively in the automotive world. I've always loved these cars, and it's so true the Porsche purists are a weird bunch. From the article: "There are purists out there -- you know who you are -- who consider doing this sort of thing to an original Porsche 356 something akin to tagging the name of your krew on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel." Yes. Rod has been on Jay Leno`s show a few times with the cars he has built and restored. I know his Dad Gary, and was fortunate enough to meet Neil when we were building John Bab****`s 40 Merc when I worked for Donn Lowe. Rod has a great Instagram feed, which works to keep up better with what he is doing....
