It's a '38 Ford spring. Did I remove too many leaves? Should I add some more? Not much of an arc in it. The whole car probably weighs 1500 lbs. Also, I've got 11 degrees of caster in the front end (forgot to figure in engine weight when I built it....duh), can I get away with this or will I push going into corners?

I have yet setup a spring by visual alone, I always use compression and rebound to determine the amount of leafs.

Your spring looks fine but how it flexes is most important . Your caster is a little extreme, but try it and you will know. Gary

I think most of those old Ford front ends where set between 4 and 9 degrees on caster, mine have always been set at roughly 5-6 with no issues. 11 might be a little excessive.

At 11 degrees, you'll go straight, down the highway.. I agree with above poster, try it, you should be fine...

I had 5 in my tube axle in my 37 g***er and it did not want to turn too good, you might have a bit way too much
