  2. The ORIGINAL 1949 Ford Coupe with a '58 Pontiac Tri-Power (three-two barrel carbs) engine, that my brother, Steve built back in the 50's with a little help from his friends......I will be duplicating, except with a BAD ASS 383 Stroker Small Block Chevy and S-10 front clip and Jaguar XJS rear end. Picture taken in front of Engineering Department Building, Texas Tech, Lubbock, Texas in 1960. It's the only picture we have of her. Peaked '51 hood, J.C. Whitney tube grille, rear fender joints smoothed, and trunk lid filled in on the indention. Door handles skimmed off. We had a hood T-handle and cable to open the driver's side door under the wheel well. Took the heater core out, brazed hinges on bottom cover, and a latch on top. A six pack would fit perfectly (just in case). The chrome strip came from a 1955 Dodge Lancer. Check out my website for all the details. https://49fordcoupe.smugmug.com SintonCar 49 only-XL.jpg

  5. Like a fool after I had pretty well worn out the car I sold it to a friend of mine who in turn sold it to another friend in my hometown who moved to Truth or Consequences New Mexico and then he sold it to a person that was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base. No clue what happened after about 1964 -1967. The guy could not remember what year it was, but remembered it was still running strong! By the way if any of you guys may have seen her I'd surely love to hear about it. She had a 51 hood and Tube grill

I call BS. 1 lived, schooled, and worked in the LA metropolitan area the 50's, 60's, and 70's the way from El Segundo to Fontana and today is nothing like then at all. We could go for months and never see the mountains. Today is 99% better no matter the tree huggers say. By 2:00 in the afternoon you could not take a deep breath without you chest hurting and that hasn't happened to me in 20 yrs..... I say B S.
