This is my model a that I just aquired. I'm looking for information on how to continue the build. It will eventually get a repower, but not a sbc. I would like to add disk brakes, but don't want to loose the wheels. My goal is something me and the wife can run around in and maybe get out on the highway to have some fun. Thanks

Hi & welcome. Nice car. The 2 door sedans are really the good ones to have as you have much more room for a family.
I have a friend in Midland who has an old T and some other antique cars. I will not post Dwain's contact info on the board here as he is not a member here and not positive if he wants to be. He and his Daughter are into the old car stuff though. Likely a lot more into Antique side of it as compared to hot rods but still very knolegable. He would be a good local resource for you I think.
My email is ol-nobull@hughes.net and if you email me I will give you his contact info.
Also I have a local friend with several Model A's in different body styles and engines. He has some with reworked A engines with stuff like dual carb manifold adapter & different head, different rear end gearing or one of the old aftermarket overdrive units and he sails down the Hwy quite well.
My personal thought is you do an engine change a Flathead Ford V8 would be a correct traditional choice and they are not hard to find. Another local friend locally has one just sitting there & I think he does not plan to use it. It came with a 42 ford coupe he purchased as a spare motor.
There are several great online sources for parts, both original style replacements and upgrades like the brakes, etc.
