I'm trying to find some more wheels for the wagon since the ol cragars don't have the proper offset and my tires rub when I drop the ass end. I've tried several different things to try to measure the patterns on what I've got sitting around, but nothing is working out for me. The only full set of wheel i have are some steelies off about a 76 F100, I know some of the Ford & GM patterns are the same. I'm just trying to figure out if these would work before I go through the chore of having tires swapped out and shit. Can someone tell me the easiest way to measure bolt pattern on a vehicle, or a website with bolt pattern listings, or even if the wheels from a 76 f100 will fit a 64 buick? I'm getting REALLY sick of having butchered whitewalls from them rubbing the inside of my quarters, I've I've always been an idiot about wheel & tire sizes....

64 buick should have 5 on 5", ford pickups have 5 on 5.5", so they shoud not fit.

The 5 on 5" pattern was used on many 70s full size GM and Ford cars, and Chevy 2wd trucks and vans.

working at a junkyard for a few years when I was a youngster really helped me get a handle on this stuff. Although I still screw up sometimes.

That website says 5.5 for the truck, but I swear it doesn't seem that big....I figured it wouldn't work. I went to the junk yard to look for some, but the guy refuses to have his helper take wheels off a car for me. The place is crawling with wasps & I ain't risking a trip to the hospital over some $20 wheels.I HATE fucking with wheels!

It is definately a 5x5" pattern, if it is still the stock set-up. Be careful of the backspace, the drums will interfear if there is too much.

I just need about a 1/2 inch or so more clearance. Seems like I have lots of room to work with in the back. Just a matter of finding something that will work. I hate to put steelies on the car, but I'll just have to deal with them until i can buy some spider caps & beauty rings.

  7. On a 5 bolt pattern I measure center to center of two lug bolts and multiply by 1.7. That gives me the bolt circle diameter.

  8. you can also measure accross two center to outside and will give the bolt circle as well.

.....You can also buy a disk with all the patterns on them from your local parts store....runs about $15.....makes the job easier when you go the the junk yard....

  11. 5 on 5 is super common. I have tossed several of these wheels.

They are basicly 1/2 ton chevy truck / van wheels and will fit the big old B.O.C. cars.

    WRONG

On a five lug Wheel you measure from the CENTER of one stud to the FAR side of one of the ones across from it.
