So a few years back me and @Marcy were visiting one of our usual haunts in central Washington and were told about some 32 roadster bodies, well of course we bought them, heres a link to a post about that:

After getting home i had starting putsing on a frame for the roadster parts i ended up with. well after racing last year at Trog East i knew i had to do it again, so im going to get this roadster together for trog east this year. so here a few pics of it and where im at. ill be trying to use as many parts that ive gotten out of our hunting grounds in washington so im going to call it the Wenatchee roadster!

and as usual ill do more pics that words!

I like it. That firewall and those quarters were just begging to be built into a channeled car.

Wenatchee Roadster sounds better than " The Malaga Stash"..........................................or does it?

got a little more done on the roadster, started fabbing up some subrails for it out of some 3/16 flatbar, i heated it and curved it to match the top of the frame, also got the cowl side door hinges and starting hanging the rear body section on, i got the door gap to fit prett well. time to start making stuff permanent and strong.

been working pretty hard on the roadster the last few week, worked alot on the subrails and have been working on floors and other sheet metal work. intered it in thr GSTA rod and custom show so i needed to make it look like something, so it's been getting cosmetic attention and it's turning out pretty good. i plan to race it at trog east.

Congrats on the treasure trove!!!! All great stuff. Did 3 roadsters off cowls/parts all that stuff looks just the way one would want to find it.
That roadster looks pretty darn Kool!!!!!
I dig when one takes pieces and makes their dreams become reality. That ones definitely "REAL"!!!!

So, it was time to get back on the car last week cause i needed to have it done for Trog, so its been a busy couple weeksm, heres a pic of it at GSTA, it looked alot more finished that it was, lots to do

    IMG_7871.jpg
I had my freind Kathy Weeks at Weeks End Sign do my lettering as usual, shes a very modest person but very talented

    IMG_8296.jpg
This was the squadron my dad was part of, the Iron Angels, VF53, it was a fighter squadron that flew F8 Crusaders, my dad was a plane captain (mechanic) in Vietnam aboard the air craft carrier ship Bon Homme Richard (the Bonnie ****!) so thats where i got my inpiration from. This is my dads patch.
    FullSizeRender.jpg
here it is all lettered up
    IMG_8319.jpg
so i had to finish up the rear floors, gas tank mount and batter mount etc etc
    IMG_9149.jpg

    IMG_9159.jpg
then it was onto the dash, i got the Auburn panel in Wenatchee same places i got the body panels from
    downsized_1110031216.jpg
i started with a 28 stude dash and just used the tunnel part of the dash
    IMG_9164.jpg IMG_9166.jpg IMG_9172.jpg IMG_9174.jpg
super happy with how it turned out
    IMG_9182.jpg IMG_9184.jpg
i like mechanical pumps but they can be touchy on a flatty so i run this airtex E8016s, it is a low pressure and does not bother strombergs needles and seats, i only use the airtex brand, they are the best. now you might think the think on the back of the pump is a filter, its not! its a check valve even tho everyone says its a filter, so put a filter behind it!
    IMG_9157.jpg
got the motor all together with the R&R manufacturing company heads ( Robert Roof)
    IMG_9296.jpg IMG_9333.jpg

Heres the dash all cleaned up, i just sanded down the frame and buffed it up, it will get replated at a later date, i filled it up with Curved gl*** stewart warnter gauges and what i beleive is an Es*** speedo, they had one very similar in a hudson teraplane but it has a white face IMG_9348.jpg
also did up a 40 ford rear for the car, ground the spring to fit in the crossmember etc etc

Nothing like a channelled 32, I admire your work ***us, you took a pile of parts, and turned them into this.
Oh, and hats off to your Dad.....
