    BTW, all the manual trans stuff from the 6 cylinder engine will bolt up to the 268 straight 8.

    I wasdo going over the thread again and started thinking that you could probably use the stock Pontiac box and most of the steering linkage and run a cross steer drag link to the p***enger side of the Chev axle.
    You would have to do some work on the tie rod. Possibly swapping to later style tie rod ends and use a Jeep CJ tie rod end on the p***enger side to connect the drag link.     My! How time flies.......A year and a half has slipped by.....you got off to great start....so clever how panels were redeployed.....don’t give up.....it is Great project.
