    The Unusual, past and future
From the 1929 silent science-fiction adventure movie, "High Treason".
Possibly the first, special-built, movie prop car. The futuristic look of the movie, and the car, were kind of
amazing when you think of the year 1929. Here's a YouTube clip ( :53 - 2:07 ) of the car cruising down the road
to a border crossing. I did a night scene to enhance the intrigue. I wonder if the real car still exists?

...and a futuristic personal transportation device. (Aka: Hot Rod)

1983 rc car drawings before the actual build upload_2017-4-14_4-35-31.png
(The bright yellow marker color has faded quite a bit over the last 33 years. Even the blue and red color faded. The wheels had more shading, but the letters still stood out.)
    Hello,

In 1983, I got hooked on building remote controlled cars. In the 1982 Christmas season my son got a remote controlled Trans Am. I used that RC Trans Am every chance I got. By the time spring rolled around, my brother gave me two R/C cars. Even though they were the beginning models with plastic shocks, they were set up to go fast. They were a lot faster and quicker than the Trans Am. His two boys no longer used them at his house.

Soon, those models got thrashed by daily use in our backyard rock garden and terrain. So, I finally purchased a real 100+ piece official off road car with a super fast motor, shocks that had oil in them, and it took me a better part of the day to put it all together.

Finally, I bought a clear plastic body and started my design process. I first decided to draw the basic truck design and add what I thought would look good in a real R/C truck. No external 671 or any item that can get blasted off in the first roll over. Several thin layers of bubble/water and regular flames were put on first, then a bright yellow top and blue lower panels were painted.

This was fun as it was a new way to paint on models. (Inside and backwards) the clear plastic shells gave everyone a new way to express themselves without having to build and paint the “real” big cars.

Oh, wait. I know exactly how you did this... And I'm not telling! Very nice work. Not your average user there, Bob.

Would love to see close ups of this. I have a heck of a lot of respect for this - I have NO patience for this type of art myself, and screw up just about everything I attempt in 3D! Not a steady enough hand or the patience to let paint dry.
