Does anyone know if they are making drives like this anymore? The last thing I want on my blower is a bunch of billet for a drive. I like the look and having it turn the water pump is cool as hell too. Any ideas on what happened to the style or why it was abandoned would be awesome. Here is a picture of one on a dragster.
Figures, the only decent picture I found online doesn't have the water pump in the drive. Ill scan the pictures I found in a 1977 Hot Rod mag, as soon as I can get my hands on it again.
Yes, the water pump pulley is similar in size with the top and bottom ones. This picture has the fuel pump for the Hilborn blocking where a water pump pulley would be, if it had one of course.
I still don't see any good photos of this online, I have 2 Set-ups and 2 different pulley arrangements, Anybody have any good photos just how this is suppose to go?
I bought this Isky blower drive new around 1975. Never used it and sold the entire blower and injection set up with drive and pulleys 2 years ago. Fat aluminum pulley on left in middle was W/P pulley. Was a great concept for the street. Pat

Just a guesstimate but I don't think Isky has made drives for 40 years. I always wanted one, still the best looking drive ever, in my eyes. Idler mounted on a bracket, w/p friction driven ( a friend had an Isky, never a cooling issue), forged Gilmer pulleys, one v-belt pulley on the steel crank hub for the alternator, and just a well engineered, compact drive.
January 1961 edition of Drag News B. Balough Oct. 1960 (a very similar looking motor to our earlier version) Hello, In May of 1960, we were ready to get more power to our small 283 SBC with 6 Strombergs in our 40 Willys. So, we decided to add a few things. One was a new item that had just come out on the market and our friend (with ties to Vic Edlebrock) in Los Angeles gave us the idea. It was a 671 supercharger on an SBC using an Isky-Gilmer Blower Drive Kit with an Edelbrock manifold. He said that he could get his hands on the Isky Gilmer drive + Edelbrock manifold for us. How could we refuse? By this time, the 283 had been upped to 292 c.i. and in order to accommodate the 671, we had to get a set of lower compression Jahns Forged Pistons, Howard Cam/ Kit, ported and polished heads, and a Joe Hunt Vertex Magneto. We also found a demo 671 in a diesel shop and had Reath Automotive bring it up to race specs. A flat, Weiand, 6 carb manifold for the Strombergs to the 671 was also purchased. We did not have access to a dynomometer at the time, but that 671 blower with the 6 Strombergs and Isky Gilmer Belt Drive looked/sounded pretty darn powerful. When we got it all together and started it for the first time, it was music to our ears. With that new set up and the small 2 gal moon tank for gas, the drives on the street were 6 miles out or less. It ran fine, did not overheat at stop lights and had acceleration like no other. Jnaki Did it look mean and powerful? Red primer, black rims, Bruce Slicks, but all original chrome trim back in place…The car did say that it meant business, but it was just another plain looking, Willys Coupe. When the hood was raised, The sound of the motor just added an exclamation note to all those concerned. To the racers in the pits at Lions, the 671 on the SBC + Isky- Gilmer blower drive set up looked pretty amazing. (the Drag News ad says 283, but that was a misprint...it was a 292 SBC ) landseaandair had a chart on the Isky Drive in the HAMB, back in Jan 2010. Thanks.
