Thanks.... Jonny really deserves most the credit.... I just made sure everything went in the right spot...

I think the frame build is still in the tech section.......

Basically I built the frame around a Flathead a year and a half ago.... then Jonny took it home to finish it.... He almost had it on the road, but lost interest kinda..... he just wasn't into the Flathead.... then He pulled the 365 out of a 56 Caddy and this is what we got....

It's a four speed tranny... it has some goofy adapter..

He has worked harder on this car than anything in his whole life.... PLUS hes had to put up with me........haha

I'm really proud of the car, but more proud of him.... It takes alot to see something through to the end at his age..... It is a great acomplishment...

There is still a ton to do... he has big plans, but its on the road......

Yeah there were a couple problems.... one of the retainers let loose in the rear brakes so we had to pull the drum to fix it....

And there are some melted plug wires and a leak in the gas tank due to a poorly placed bracket...... None of it was too big of a deal really....

That was a great moment when we were first driving it down there.... Its like it was a real car at that point.....

That is one sick looking A. Outstanding job to all that was involved. That A definetly stands out from the crowd.

I have enjoyed following the build up of this COupe. Turned out great and what a feeling it was to get it rolling on its own power. Good decision on ditching the flathead for the CaDDY mill. GREAT JOB

Thanks for all of the kind words fellas... I really appreciate it.

For referance sake, this is how it looked last time I updated.

Here's a link to the Frame Tech piece.

I really need to thank Crestliner for selling me the project to begin with, and hauling it all the way to wisconsin for nothing. I'd love to find some of the history of the body, when it was chopped, etc... or some older pictures. If you have anything, give me a hollar.

Also, I need to thank Choptop. He sold me the Weiand Drag star setup... and it's probably my favorite piece on the car. It was on his dad's drag racing boat in the sixties. I feel pretty proud to have that on my hot rod.

And of course Mr. Bleed. He deserves all the credit for the way it looks. There's no way I would have been able to finish it on my own, and it was really cool of him to help me out. He's got a real eye for making cars sit right, and have good proportions... There have been times where he would just drive me insane over small details... but now I'm glad he did. He's got a true passion for these cars... I'm really glad to have him as a friend, and I'm even more proud to say I have one of the first AceHoles cars.

I've met alot of guys that are real protective over the knowledge they have... and Bob isn't like that.

I really need to thank Evel for making those sweet rat rod dvd's... I think I watched the trailer for the first movie 75 times... that super dark flat blue coupe is the car that really made me want a coupe in the first place.

And all the rest of the guys that helped out, gave me advise, or gave me a good smack on the head when I needed it... Jake, All the Cheaters, Tuck, Littleman... all the guys I met in detroit...and anyone else that was willing to sit down and talk hot rods with me.

    Ok, enough of the Handjobs.

I'm going to try to post some pictures of the rear end setup, and gas tank placement... it's pretty ingenious with the way it all works.

LabelKills, I was gonna run the eldo intake, but then I found that dragstar... if you need that back, just give me a hollar.

Lobrow, the frame's kicked up 16" in the back, and 3" in the front.

My plans are getting the motor running on all six carbs, do a full interior... and now, after seeing (the millionare genius) Mark Moriarity's cars... it's going to get alot of chrome and detail work, hopefully for the autorama.

Hot rods are the coolest thing ever.

Just my five cents but that Coupe must be the best looking car on The H.A.M.B for a while!

Bobbleed, nice to meet you this weekend. I couldnt stop laughing when that redneck in front of the bar was telling you how cool his buddys burn out was and how crappy hot rods are.

Jonny, your coupe is amazing. I love the motor. Its more my style than a flathead. Glad we got to talk a little bit this weekend. You stay classy.

    It is nicely done.

I acted like I was just being helpful, acting as the human prop rod on the trunk whilst Cola patched his tank.

I really just wanted to touch it.

    It felt nice. Real nice.

I was bummed that my trucks brakes took a dump when they did and I didn't make it to the pileup. I missed just about everything this year except the rumble. That car is badass though. I'd eat it. Nice job guys.

  15. That is a cool car...

too bad it has a roof.

nice motor too...got any shots of it.

    and...what rear is in there?

  18. Good job fella's! I dig it. Gotta question for either one of you. Is that a Mustang radiator out front. I have a friend that just got a coupe with one on it and he wants to put a 32 shell over it. Looks the same to me.If it is can I get a couple of pics of how it was mounted? Thanks

Nothing like being on the road with you buddies...Although when he kept stepping on it..All I could think of
was how johnny was going to call Mrs.evel and explain how this 18yearold

Jonny is one of the coolest kids I have met ever. He totaly deserves this car, and I know he worked his ass off to make it come alive. I cant wait to get my fat ass in that car and be scared by him, like Max wedge did to me in the H-bomb. Bob is a great builder and that is part of the reason my sedan is at his shop right now. Jonny's old flatty is powering my A. I can't wait to tounge your butthole Mr. Jean Jacket. Later nerdz

Evel I'm really glad you came and made me go...... I had a shitty week last week and things have turned around....

I scored a sweet Go Kart and minibike on the side of the road and they were marked FREE!! hahahaha DANGER ! DANGER!

We were driving that Go Cart all day!
It does Killer "Rockford File slides" hahahahahaha

    ACEHOLES GO CART TEAM.

yep it is a Mustang Radiator.... It is flipped upside down, meaning the top tank is now on the bottom.... The angle of the the lower tank allows a 32 shell to drop over it perfectly... It works great. That car cools exellent.....

Thanks for all the kind words..... We did spend alot of time with the proportions and making sure everything was in the right spot....

I argued with Johnny for a whole day about headlight placement..... We argued over a half inch... haha........... I won.

It's crazy how obsessed over some of these details I get, and how pissed I get when someone questions them... Sometimes I think I'm losing my mind..... But it really is all art to me. I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing, I just have strong instincts.

    Hot Rods rule.
