    apparently there were about 30 vehicle assembly plants throughout the US at the time so realistacally, This was just a small percentage of the total years production...

    The pictures came from one single source file at the Library of Congress.

    Leads me to believe that they may have been tooling up for production for the new (32) model year. Either that or this one shot got thrown in with the model a factory tour file??

    I know that building, it's in San Pedro, China basin I think. I will get some photos of it now I know what it is.

    I wasn't sure if the factory or any part still existed...


    It would be nice to see the building 75 years later.

    At the time, access was from "Ford Bridge".

    Again, not sure if that still exists either...

    I was jut trying to do some homework, stopped by the site to see what was going on, and after seeing those pics my brain has exploded, thanks. That was really cool, thanks for sharing. I wonder if those guys running the press had to go to cultural diversity and sesitivity training like I have to for work?:D
