heres a couple more update pics,,,,i have been working on narrowing the 51 caddy bumper 6 inches,,took it right out of the middle between the guards,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the shape of the hood didnt follow the contour of the 51 grille, so made a new lip that did follow the shape, cut away some of the existing hood, and filled it with some sheetmetal shaped to fit,,,just tacked at this point, but it will work just fine,,,i also posted a pic of the front before i did this work for comparison,,,,,,,,this weekend, i will be making a new pan for the front between the bumper and grille,,it'll be a little tricky because there are some weird curves there,,but ill figure it out (i hope),,,,,,
Lookin real good Jim...it just keeps getting better! The hood flows real nice with the grill. Keep the updates coming. LSM
Kick Ass Jim, I like that late model grille a lot better than the stock one, more work for sure but you will have something unique when you are done. Keep us posted. BB
bumper looks better then i had pictured it in my mind. now just to shave the vertical bars out of the grill for the perfect look. great work
here's a side profile shot,,,ive done a lot since this picture was taken, but you get the idea of the overall design,,,
