Wow, what a pair of absolute beauties. I love the fastback roof line on the second car. Lots of neat custom tricks used on these two. Ahhhhh, don't you just love it when capitalism gets it's hands on the commies skinny little necks. Can't keep creativity down for very long. Just beautiful flowing works of art. I'd love to own one, or both, of them.
You Could Have Told Me That The First Car Was Brand New And Costs 600thousand And I Would Have Believed It! That Thing Is Sweeeeet!
I found these pics when I was searching for something else. Pretty cool... Russian Road Race Specials . Who would have thought that many of them were built back then in Russia.
The first car reminds me of some of the mid to late 50s Ferrari GT cars. The second one looks like the coolest '49 Plymouth I have ever seen. Those Russians really have a handle on retro styling. Tom
Wild.......that First one ...I was thinking ...big deal .....just a set of wheels and a few motor bits painted.....then ...i scrolled down till i got to it next to the stock version ......man ....heaps of work done there ...and it looks like it should be standard.....would like to see a stock version of the second one ....Peoples vision and workmanship around the world just blows me away
Alex, thanks for showing us some new old stuff. What the heck is that last car, the one with the rear engine? Are all of these handbuilt one-offs? If so, I'm very impressed by Comrade Boris and his ingenuity! John
I didn't know the Russian used left hand steering. I like the first one. Is it a cop car with the blue lights?
Posted these pics before but for the newbies here is my bog standard Pobeda. Flathead 4 cylinder, 3 on the tree. Just goes to show that there is probably just about every sort of car imaginable in the H.A.M.B. worldwide garage.
I think its ( based on? ) a Moskvich. Dont have any Info on the others. But I think I see a stock version of the Car at the top of this Thread in the Background of one of the Pics... I wonder if any of those Cars survived...
