Hey Guys, I have a question about the two available floater kits for the Model A Floater Kit. There's a deluxe and a regular Kit. Deluxe has 25 pieces and the regular 16 and it's $170 vs $260. As you are in Bavaria you could buy directly from Flathead Ted himself in New Zealand, $220.00 plus $25.00 freight, save yourself a few bucks and you can ask him all the questions you need to. He is a very approachable fellow...just remember to check the world clock to make sure you are not calling at 1 am!! He has a facebook page and a website/forum which is administered by his daughter Kim. He will answer your questions. www.Flatheadted.com the difference is that the deluxe kit has extra components to make the back brake as good as the fronts and a special tool for cleaning the tread in the adjusters ...explained here on his website. http://www.flatheadted.com/index.ph...n=com_virtuemart&Itemid=54&vmcchk=1&Itemid=54 He has a bunch of Youtube videos too, some of them are Ted demonstrating how good his brakes work.. locking up the brakes on the street outside his home.... you can get away with that sort of thing in NZ....
Be careful that you buy the genuine Flathead Ted kit, there are Chinese knockoffs on the market which have little or no hardening and they have been reported to fail within a few months.
