Going to try the '65 mustang V8 radiator in our yblock T with A shell. Does anyone have the outside dimensions of one? I want to build the mounts to mount our shell but I cannot afford to buy the radiator yet so I was thinking if I had the measurements I could build a mockup so I could at least get the shell where I need it, thanks-

I do at home, (I'm a work now) I have a 66 radiator in my T with a shortened 29 shell. I assume 65 and 66 are the same size. If someone doesn't beat me to it I will post them when I get home.

I used mustang rads in my last two cars model A shell chopped 3" and my present 32 grille shell, work great. This worked for me you might want to try it,remove the side mounts and swap them side for side. This sets the rad farther into the shell and now the mounts are at the back where the shell is wider, and gives a better flush mount.I had a shop do and i think it was like 30.00.

  18. If you scroll to the bottom of the page at www.TBucketPlans.com, just enter your email and you can get the free chapter on radiators which includes a wide variety of other radiators and dimensions that will fit in T, A and Deuce shells.

So the Mustang 64-66 v8 radiators will work in a Deuce shell? I heard through idle chatter that if you are running a SB Ford than a Mustang radiator will work. I you are running a SBC then you need a Grenada radiator because the inlet/outlets are on the right side. Don't know if anybody can confirm this. I am asking because I am going to run a Deuce grill with a SBC. Wanted to get a radiator that I didn't have to hace the inlets/outlets moved. Anybody have a good ideas?

Thanks and understood. Any idea of a radiator that doesn't the nexk modified. I was looking at a flex-a-lite radiator part number 52000 it looks as to be 17 1/8" wide and 17" inches tall with inlets at top left and bottom right. Didn't know if anybody ever used one or not?

  22. Does the mustang radiator need to be modified to feed a small block chevy?
    I have a 1929 Model A grill shell chopped, and a sbc 350
