I just picked these up at a swap meet and am trying to figure out what brand they are. They have no name on them, only marks are a big "E" on the side and 6061 between the guide plates. Guide plates say edelbrock but I am unsure if they came with the heads. 2.02 1.6 valves, 70cc chamber. Angle plug and no exhaust crossover. I can't figure how to post pictures from my phone so I will put some up when I am home later

6061 is an older Edelbrock part number for angle plug 70 cc Performer RPM heads. Replaced by number 60619.

Hi. I t likely does not apply to your heads if Edelbrock only used it for the angle plug heads but 6061 is also an indicator of the soft near pure aluminum alloy and for comparison a 7075 allow is harder. Those are numbers used in the Aluminum industry.

Cool, I was unsure because all edelbrock heads I've seen have their name on the ends of the heads and mine are bare. Anybody know what runner size they are?

All aftermarket aluminum castings used for cylinder head production (blocks included) are 356 cast material, the 6061 is not used in casting other than during the original phase of the manufacturing process of the plate. Only time one sees 6061 material in aftermarket blocks and heads are for high-end racing where they are 100% machined out of billit.
1100 series alu is pure and dead soft material and not 6061

Thanks for all the information guys. Either way it looks like these will work well for my DD 327 build.

Those are cool. I like how the exhaust side of the head looks more like a GM piece. In your first photo it looks like the exhaust port roofs have been raised on the top head?

That is interesting. I will have to take a look at the ports again to see if it isn't just the picture.
