It's a sept 1968-70 M20 with the a hurst shifter body and linkage.

I'd like to move it along and I'm not trying to get rich

I can remember back in the day when I bought a few for that much. Take a 1/2" wrench along because somebody will want to pull the side cover off and then leave you with putting it back on. That's why I hardly ever drag one to a swap meet any more.

Haha. I just put a socket set in the truck

    Is $700 fair to ask?

I'd think so. I paid $800 about 4 years ago for an M20 and Hurst Comp Plus shifter.

That's the average price for a used Muncie. Don't let anyone tell you it's ''only a M20''. Better 1st gear and a Hurst shifter, someone will want it.

I've seen rebuilds at swap meets asking about $1000, without the linkage. If it's in fine shape, $700 seems reasonable.
I need that trans. for my '69 GTO. The correct year M20 is perfect with the A/C and 3:23 gears it's got on it.
I would've been interested if I lived near you.

So what does the crowd think a Borg Warner Super T-10. Built August 1962 with original spaghetti stick shifter be worth?

Pete, the best part is that you properly identified the trans. and written on the case. Along with the linkage attached is a good selling point.
I really don't look too hard for muncies, but if it's addressed the way you have it at a swap meet...would've caught my eye.
Seems like people plop trannies everywhere at swap meets and not tell much on what it is. Not everyone is a walking encyclopedia.
I'm not desperate for a trans. at the moment. It's more of a want list than a need. But anything's possible, we'll see.
    Thanks.

62 Pontiac could have the LONG extension housing also (???). FabCraftMetalWorks.Com also deals in new/used/rebuilt Super T-10's, T-10's, and Muncie's. Since it's a "Pontiac" trans, he may be interested.

  19. 660 case has one inch countetshaft as compared to earlier three quarter, nothing blown up, with shifter, I would ask $950 maybe take $850 as someone will likely plan gaskets bearings synchros

This week a ****** dealer sold me the speedo gears for my M22. The new transmissions on display were high strength cases, M22 ge****ts, but had the lower 1st gear, instead of the 2.20 :1 in mine. Unless the car is a road racer, your M20 is good transmission choice for a hot rodder. Super T10s with what, a 2.83 1st is better yet in a street car.

^^^ yep. Similar pricing on a Muncie, and a TKO. Both boxed and dropped at the big brown shipper.

Edit : Guess I should say UPS, huh ? The above statement reads like a wow wipe and flush would be needed. Yikes.

75 bucks w/Compe***ion Plus around 1981. Put it in my '62. A buddy was getting into bracket racing pretty heavy. Dumped the Muncie for a turbo 400. Right place, right time.

    Helpful tip for decoding:
The top of the main case above the input shaft you will find a series of letters and numbers. This will tell you everything you need to know.
www.muncie4speeds.com to decode what you have . Good luck!

Just remember there's an *** for every seat, you just have to match them up.

Your trans is a 1969 by the way...P9H19A translates to 1969...June 19th..A for wide ratio. You should check to see if there is a vin stamped into it. If it has a Corvette vin for example...you could advertise it like that..

Good advice, it does have a Vin stamped in it.

    I'll post the Vin tonight
