Last fall I picked up a street roddy '39 Ford Deluxe coupe for a winter project. I'm curious to see if anyone knows the original builder. I don't really need to know, I'm just nosy . I got the car from a guy in Cincinnati who bought it who bought it 12+ years ago, damaged the front sheetmetal, and then parked it for 12 years. He bought it from a guy in Painesville, OH who bought it 4 or 5 years earlier in Columbus, possibly at a Goodguys show around 2001. The original builder, who wasn't afraid to spend a ton of money on name parts and every billet accessory available, may have been from the Columbus area. Interior work was supposedly done by a Joey Coy in Columbus. It's got Heidts M2 style front suspension, Ch***is Engineering ladder bar/coil-over rear with a Ford 9", 355 with dual quads, 350 turbo. The body supposedly came from Missouri, and it had been metallic blue before it was painted the current raspberry color. It was likely built around '97-'99. Anybody know the car or original builder?

Yes an old fellow in a town next to me curled up in the front seat of one that looked that that. It was said he wanted to be buried in it. Nice 40. Great start.
Boy, there is something about the 1 piece windshields that just makes the car look like it's a fibergl*** body. It's a nice car otherwise!
Thanks! I would have preferred the original windshield and frame, and some stock door handles, and some rubber on the running boards, definitely a drip rail, and several other things. Some I will change, and some I'll just play the hand I was dealt.
