very cool! So is the plan to eventually pain the frame the same color as the car?

Man I'm not really sure at this point. Just wanted everything clean with a coat of primer as I know it's gonna be a slow build.

  3. Very nice pics, and an interesting build. I'll be watching. :)

  6. Are you going to be cutting the spring mounts off the 36 bones or leave them inplace for shock mounts?

Not 100% sure how I'm gonna do it yet but that is definitely a great idea! Something similar to this but obviously using the stock spring perches on the banjo and mounted a little more inboard of the frame rails.

    Very nice looking start

Gary was nice enough to store my 34 roadster for a couple weeks when I bought it, so I had time to go down and get it. He was a very nice guy and his work looks killer.

  10. I believe if you search around a little bit you will find that you cannot run the 36 bones in stock location in a 32 frame. I don't remember who build a 32 frame and found this problem. The bones will hit the frame when doing a really low car. I am working on a 32 frame that Andy Kohler put together, it has a light Z in the frame with a 40 axle under it. I have been playing with moving the bones inboard of the frame and using the ends as shock mounts.
As I am a big boy, I am also considering using them as a possible sway bar mount, to eliminate some of that buggy spring lean.

Yep... That's why I'm using a '40 banjo so I can use the stock spring perches on the rearend and the '36 arms will be mounted inboard of the frame rails as ladder bars, not utilizing the stock spring mounts on the '36 arms.

Got the pedals in last night. Clutch pedal is obviously gonna need some heating and bending and more than likely a notch in the top of the X Member to get a little more throw. Planning to make a plate off of the M/C mount to mount a small hydraulic clutch M/C as well.

Got the drag link on as well so it's at least a little easier to push around the garage. I need to bend the steering arms and eventually mount the drag link under the wishbones.

Thanks! I don't know if its because I'm a family man too or because it seems attainable price wise or you just don't see many of them, but I'm always a ****er for a well done traditional fordor. Did you have it at the Grand National Roadster Show this year? I thought I remember seeing it there. Well done. You nailed the stance for a full fendered car
