I'm looking at an LM3 6 carb log for 4 bolt, rectangular base, carbs that I believe is for a 430 MEL engine. Does anyone have an old Edelbrock catalog from the 60's that could verfiy the application?

    Hey there,

I have a buddy at Edelbrock who does graphics.
    Here is his email:

    ddavis@edelbrock.com

There are still oldtimers there who will be able to
    ID this for you quickly.

    Good luck,

    Dave

It looks like the MLP6, but it does say LM3 on it and does have the base for Carter/Rochester style carbs, not Strombergs or small Holley's. It doesn't look like it's been run but it has been bolted to something once. I will try to get it just to see what it is. the "LM" designation would seem right for a MEL engine, so I guess I'll see if I can get it and go from there.

The '59 catalog lists an LM6 for '58-'59 Lincoln and Mercury engines,i.e. the MEL. There is no LM3.
