Hi All. I have Dodge Hemi in a 31 Ford Coupe with ceramic limefire headers that go back through Magnaflow mufflers. It is really quiet and not aggressive at all. Tonight I removed plates on the turnouts so I run directly off the header. Sounded amazing but excessively noisy and hard on ears. Is there a solution for this? Is there some type of baffle kit that can be installed in the header to reduce noise but retain the sound? Also are there any ideas to make installing removing turnout plates for the occasional noisy cruise? Thanks for any guidance...

I had lime-fires on my coupe.... Appleton Performance (vw guys) have a baffle for VW stinger exhaust that slip into the lime-fires. I bought the lime-fire block offs, drilled them. Then I dropped in the baffles, bolted up the block offs... Done.

The baffles were cheap, like $35..... The block offs were expensive..

So as an end result you had a baffle in each header that was secured in place by bolting it to the block off plate. So did the exhaust still head out the bottom? Did you just terminate the exhaust out the bottom with no muffler? Thanks.

The Stinger baffle fits fairly tight in the cone. No need to secure it.

Blocked off the bottom with a solid block off for the lime-fire.

Sanderson use to sell flat block offs..... These are fancy

    Found these.... Much Cheaper

You'll need two pairs.... One pair block off do where down tube bolts, one pair to drill out.
