What's your favorite body style?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hillbillydeluxe, Apr 10, 2006.

  1. Coupes, roadsters, Tudors, or cabriolets, what's your favorite (or what would you have if the garage was big enough)?

Coupes and wagons, I know that is one extreme or the other but they both have there strong points.

3 window coupes.I like the almost claustrophobic feel of driving a coupe.
    Started with a '40 Ford and went to a '34 3 winder.

1958-1960 Ferrari 250GT Pininfarina coupe. It was Ferrari's first production series GT car, and they made about 375 of them. For a long time they were at the bottom of the food chain a**** 12-cylinder Ferraris (as in the cheapest ones you could buy), but just in the last year or so they have jumped amazingly in popularity and price. A nice one is currently about $150K (I know, you could build ten hot rods for less).

I love their looks, but I'll never be able to afford one in this lifetime.

Most anything made by Henry Ford between 1926 and 1951. Of course you'd have to correct that one flaw they all had and put SBC/BBC's in them. There are a few of us that are trying to accomplish that but we NEED help:eek: :D

I've always been a coupe guy. 3 window, 5 window, hardtop, whatever. My dad has always seemed partial to convertibles though.

Two door hardtops have my vote. From the 1948 Coupe Deville to the 1958 Buicks.... And almost anything in between.

Tudor sedans, ElCaminos, pick ups, 3window cpes. And even 1 4dr sedan that I'd like, all stock, not rodded...a 1932 Packard 900 (Light Eight series), rear mount spare, all black with grey striping, blackwall tires on disc wheels. And it would of course need to be impecable throughout. Damn it all...this thread has me freakin head spinnin. The 'mino needs to be a 59, the tudor a Deuce or 33 Ford, most any pick up from the 30 to the mid 50s ('cept some of them Fords got ugly), most any 3window will do. Then there's the "sled" issue. ****, man, I need to win the lottery.

I like the 31 or 32 full fender Ford roadster

  28. I normally drive a truck and given a choice i would nromally buy a truck for a driver.

But if I had my druthers to build a rod it would be a coupe. I've always prefered coupes to any other body style. No reason why I guess just personal preferance.

After that it would be a 2 door sedan, don't ever want to own anything with more than 2 doors well with a few exceptions but I won't go into dream cars today.

  29. At this time, my '33 tudor sedan :p

In the next, my '30 PU :D
