It's Krylon metallic finish #2908 Copper. Just put a few coats on wet sand and rub out.

SW stage III. When your steering wheel cuts off the top of your speedo.
I also would love a DIY on taking them apart so I can get the dust out.

No I have never seen that decal before but when I get a few minutes I will recreate the vintage old image.

  9. Let me know if you need a better picture. I'm sure I can do better than holding it up to the dining room light! :)

  10. I like the gauges in the firewall. Would be nice to have a vacuum gauge in that firewall, too.

Stole these from an Eelco thread on here. Heck I didn't know Eelco made gauges! Neato!

And Eelco made some with silver faces. I'm assuming that your temp gauge is mechanical. Does it still have the line?...just curious.

Someone told me a long time ago that it stands for "Vehicle Display Output" . I don't know. I do know that there is a company named VDO that makes automotive gauges and I wonder if it somehow related to that company.

Just own the photos not the gauges. Those red highlights on the silver gauges are great!

IMG_9164.JPG IMG_9165.JPG My Brand new Airguide Tach in my 64 Galaxie! I got it new in the box with a waterslide decal from the nephew of a woman that used to work at the factory ! He was going to actually throw it in the garbage! He didn't know better!

Dash Model A.JPG These are Faria gauges, from the late 80's I believe. Faria traditionally has made boat gauges, but apparently made a few auto gauge sets back then,

Did Faria/Rotunda not also produce gauges for Ford in the 60's?

:D Hi Danny. Thanks for starting this thread. Some great equipment showing up.As for sticker shock at the grocery store,OMG for sure.I remember going to the local 7-11 for my Mom to get a loaf of bread.
Got a loaf of Merita brand bread, the 2 lb loaf of sandwich sliced for .10 cents no sales tax. That was back about the day after Noah grounded the Ark.
    Good luck.have fun.Be safe.

I picked this up at an estate sale recently. Google seems to think it's a 1960's Paxton boost gauge.

Is this technically a gauge, my NOS oil eye
    Oil eye-3.jpg

I've posted these previously and had the instruments in my 46 Olds refurbished with modern movements however I maintained OEM appearance and added a tacho as well, amps to volts as well as increasing oil pressure and water temperate, and speedometer
