Technical '51 Chevy steering linkage removal

    Anyone have any pointers on getting the center link (I forget the actual name) ball disconnected?

    Take the cotter key out of the slot and use a large screwdriver and unscrew the plug. Then you can unhook the ball joint.

    Not unusual to find the spring broken.

    I figured it out once I cleaned off all the grease and crud. It was super clean inside and fortunately the spring was good
